'Has the European Dream Become A Nightmare?' - A Panel Discussion on Europe

Held in the beautiful Pemberton Building on the Palace Green of the Durham World Heritage Site, the panel consisted of:

Timothy Kirkhope - Conservative MEP for Yorkshire & Humber

Dr Christian Schweiger - Durham University School of Government & International Affairs Charles Heslop - Vice President, National Conservative Convention Dr Andreas Pantazatos - Durham University Philosophy Department.

The debate is one of the largest DUCA has held yet with over 50 people attending. Ideas debated were Britain's involvement in the European Union, the effect of the British Media on relationships with the U.K and the rest of Europe and how decisions within the European Union can affect the United States.

The night ended at Head of Steam with (for some of us) too much beer.
