Michaelmas 2017 Recap

DUCA enjoyed a busy start to the academic year. We were honoured that Professor John Curtice, the polling guru agreed to host our Freshers Launch. Others who addressed DUCA last term included John Penrose MP, Sir Edward Leigh MP, and Matt Hancock MP.

As December arrived, Christmas celebrations soon took over. Nigel Adams MP attended our Christmas Dinner as Guest of Honour, while a cardboard cutout of the Iron Lady herself performed that role at the traditional end-of-year curtain call, the Michaelmas Reception.

We would like to thank Connor Forster for a highly successful term as President. We wish Ben Cooper, his successor, all the best for the coming months. We would also like express our thanks to Ollie Lewis, ex-President, who now leaves the Exec to prepare for his stint as President of the Durham Union.
